Max on Snax aims to eat into kids’ subscriptions

Getting kids to eat healthy is a little easier with Max on Snax’s monthly subscription, which includes games, recipes and information.

Lori Osiecki wanted to do something to educate kids about what they were eating and push for healthier snacks. This led to a multipronged business that branched out this summer into specialty boxes.

Osiecki is founder and chief creative officer of Mesa-based Max on Snax. The effort started as an animated 5-year-old boy featured on short programs on the American Forces Network. The business now has a website that features activities, games and animated videos of “Max’s Show.” An interactive Max’s Plate app launched in 2011.
